Many of
you who have been playing Game of War for about 3-6 months will know
that there are three huge road blocks to reaching Tier 4 troops. There are 3 important buildings: Prison, Hall of War, and Altar that need to be level 21 before Tier 4 troops can be researched. A
lot of websites talk about the requirements necessary to reach T4 but
none give you a great non-spending method of getting your entire
alliance there. This
post is going to talk a little bit about what your alliance needs to
reach T4, and mostly about how to get through those tough roadblocks.
The 3 Roadblocks to Tier 4 Troops
- Prison - 20,000 shackles worth 300,ooo gold
- Hall of War - 20,000 books of war worth 300,000 gold
- Altar - 20,000 daggers worth 300,000 gold
If you one member buys the necessary items in bulk of 1000s it costs about 600k gold. Using this method of gifting individual items is more expensive but the cost is spread throughout the alliance. It's very hard for one member get 600k gold without spending at least a few hundred dollars. For
many alliances it's a team effort to help each other get enough
daggers, books, and shackles to complete these buildings, but they don't
have a methodology for it. Fortunately,
a few alliances in my kingdom collaborated and created a method by
which the entire alliance helps each other one at a time to reach T4.
History of The Trinity Challenge (VUW version)
So
far we collectively found ways as an alliance for everyone, regardless
of their financial abilities, to obtain T4 troops by helping with
resources and speeedups... but upgrading the Prison, Hall of War, and Altar still proves to be a problem... until now.
The
way our local rivals tackled this challenge, as well as MANY other mega
alliances was to ask alliance members to gift shackles, books, and
daggers to a specific person at a time until that individual completed
the Prison, Hall of War, and Altar. But actually, they forced their alliance members do this and the person selected was often the most popular. Any member who did not donate enough, was kicked.
We have never used forceful tactics nor will we ever use those tactics and as we have always stated your participation is 100% voluntary. It's only fair however that alliance members who choose not to participate will not benefit from the program.
Also, the leaders have developed some very fair qualifying requirements
and an incredibly fair, unbiased, and performance based method of
determining who will be first to benefit from our gifts and so on.
As
an example, most of us participated in sending RSS to certain alliance
members one at a time to help them grow fast until we developed our
"Tile Free Program" that allows everyone to benefit equally. Everyone
now enjoys equal and unlimited availability of any RSS with silver
being the exception because now most everyone has the advantage of speed
researching. The "Trinity Challenge" is developed in the same historical cooperation to help everyone in our alliance.
Did you know our membership includes a troop training tool that tells you the exact amount of resources and speeds you need to train for troop training events? Click here to sign up and not miss out.
The Gift
Everyone in our alliance is asked to gift at least 3 or more shackles, books of war, or daggers every day based on their ability to participate. Each of these items costs 15 gold coins to gift someone, for a total of 45 gold coins a day. This is a VERY minimum requirement that pretty much any member of any alliance can fulfill. From my experience, it's more common for members to gift 15-20+ a day. Personally, I just click gift as many times as I can until I get bored.
Typically we start with just one of the three items: daggers, books, or shackles. In fact, we start with shackles and complete the prison first.
We make sure to complete each building completely before moving onto the next one. Each
day the recipient of the gifts should give an update via an
all-alliance mail that states how many daggers, books, or shackles they
need.
Tomorrow I will post the second part of this series titled: The Tier 4 Trinity Challenge - How To Select A Candidate
If you are interested in using this method with your alliance, have your members follow along. There will be 3 total articles in this series.
Enjoy!
